Mitgliederentwicklung im ORCID Deutschland Konsortium
Das ORCID Deutschland Konsortium wurde im Oktober 2016 von den Projektpartnern des ORCID DE Projektes und vier weiteren Einrichtungen gegründet (mehr hier). Die Technische Informationsbibliothek (TIB) Hannover hat als eines der Gründungsmitglieder die administrative Leitung des Konsortiums übernommen. Das Konsortium bietet allen gemeinnützigen wissenschaftlichen Einrichtungen in Deutschland eine reduzierte ORCID-Mitgliedsgebühr an. Neben den reduzierten Kosten stellt das Konsortium eine Dialogplattform mit Best-Practice-Implementierungen und eine Sammlung an deutschsprachigen Informationsmaterialien und landesspezifischen FAQs bereit.
Die Grafik zeigt die Mitgliedsentwicklung des Konsortiums seit seiner Gründung an. Die Mehrheit der Mitglieder sind derzeit Universitäten und Hochschulen. The ORCID Germany Consortium was established in October 2016 by the project partners of the ORCID DE project together with four additional institutions (more information here). As one of the founding members, the German National Library of Science and Technology (TIB) in Hannover assumed the administrative lead of the consortium. The consortium offers a reduced ORCID membership fee to all non-profit research institutions in Germany. In addition to the cost reduction, it provides a platform for dialogue featuring best practice implementations, a collection of German-language informational materials, and country-specific FAQs.
The accompanying chart illustrates the growth in consortium membership since its establishment. The majority of current members are universities and higher education institutions.
